You qualify if you are among the approximately 2,187,170 U.S. consumers identified by Flagstar whose personal information was impacted by the January or December 2021 data breaches.

Receipts, invoices, account statements, and/or tax forms documenting monetary losses related to the data breaches are required to claim reimbursement.

About This Settlement

A class action lawsuit alleged that Flagstar Bank failed to prevent two data breaches in January and December 2021 that allegedly compromised the personally identifiable information (PII) of more than 2 million consumers nationwide. Plaintiffs alleged that Flagstar could have prevented the breaches with reasonable cybersecurity measures. Flagstar Bank has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $31.5 million settlement to resolve these allegations. Who Qualifies

• You were identified by Flagstar Bank as having your personal information impacted by the Flagstar Bank data breaches that occurred in January 2021 or December 2021
• You are one of the more than 2 million consumers nationwide whose personally identifiable information (PII) was allegedly compromised in either breach
• California residents may qualify for an additional statutory payment if they are among the approximately 364,000 California residents identified as affected
• You must submit a valid claim form by the deadline of August 11, 2026
• Documentation of any monetary losses — such as receipts, invoices, account statements, and/or tax forms — may be required to support claims for reimbursement of documented losses

What You May Receive

If you are an eligible class member, you may receive one or more of the following: up to $25,000 for documented monetary losses supported by proof of those losses; an estimated pro rata residual cash payment of approximately $60, which may be up to $599 depending on the number of valid claims submitted; and, if you are a California resident, an additional $100 statutory payment. All eligible class members may also receive three years of free credit monitoring services through IDX. Actual payment amounts will vary based on the total number of valid claims filed and are not guaranteed.

1. Visit the official settlement website at FlagstarSettlement.com to access the claim form and review full eligibility details.
2. Complete the claim form accurately, providing all required personal information so the settlement administrator can verify your eligibility.
3. Gather and submit any required documentation supporting your claim, such as receipts, invoices, account statements, and/or tax forms that demonstrate monetary losses related to the data breaches.
4. Submit your completed claim form and supporting documentation by the claim deadline of August 11, 2026. Late submissions may not be accepted.
