Individuals who received written notification that their personal information was potentially accessed, viewed, or obtained as a result of the EMS LINQ data breach between September 12, 2023, and May 13, 2024 are eligible.
Documentation of losses is required, such as bank statements, phone bills, postage receipts, and gas receipts to support ordinary or extraordinary loss claims.

EMS LINQ, a data management company serving school districts and other organizations, was sued for allegedly failing to prevent a data breach that may have compromised sensitive employee and student data — including names, addresses, dates of birth, bank account information, and Social Security numbers. The alleged breach is said to have occurred between September 12, 2023, and May 13, 2024. EMS LINQ has not admitted any wrongdoing but has agreed to settle the class action lawsuit to resolve these claims. This page is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.
Eligible class members may receive one of the following, depending on the type and documentation of losses:
• Up to $2,500 for documented extraordinary losses (e.g., significant financial harm directly tied to the alleged breach) • Up to $500 for documented ordinary losses (e.g., out-of-pocket expenses such as bank fees, postage, or time spent addressing the breach) • A $50 alternative cash payment if you do not have documented losses • All eligible class members may also receive one year of free three-bureau credit monitoring, regardless of which cash option they select
